Challenger DivisionUpdated Saturday January 12, 2019 by DLL Registrar.
Hosted by Davis Little League, Challenger is a separate team dedicated to giving school-aged children with intellectual and physical disabilities the chance to play a modified version of Little League baseball. We welcome players of all abilities, although the level of play is lower than most teams, making it ideal for younger kids or athletes with less-developed baseball skills. Each player has a typically developing buddy who helps keep the Challenger player engaged.
Who can sign up? School-aged athletes (K-12) with intellectual and physical disabilities
What does it cost? 25.00 per player
Where do we practice and play? All practices are held at the Davis Little League complex on H Street; games are against neighboring Challenger Leagues and will be held in Davis (home field), Woodland, and Dixon
Who do we play? Challenger Teams from Dixon and Woodland
When does the season start?: Practices start in March and play to the middle/end of May
Tryouts? N/A – all abilities welcome; team will be capped at 15, with a waiting list, to ensure safe play
