We need more umpires!

Updated Monday February 27, 2017 by Paul Hasson.

Team Davis Little league:

Often an overlooked aspect of the Little League program, umpiring is one of the most important. The volunteer umpire is as much a part of Little League as the volunteer manager, coach or team parent volunteer. The game does not start without the umpire. We currently don't have enough volunteer umpires to fulfill all the games at Davis Little League. Davis Little League has many senior volunteer umpires and  a great Jr. umpire program. These qualified teens have gone to training/ made a commitment and embraced the responsibilities that come with being a little league umpire. But we need more adult volunteer umpires!

Want to become part of something special? Becoming an umpire today is a great way to give back to your league and to the kids. Umpiring allows for the most flexible schedule. Volunteer a couple of games a year or become a regular fixture at Davis league. No equipment to buy. Training provided. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please email paul@davislittleleague.org should you want to become part of the best umpire staff in District 64. We'll get you signed up today! Who knows you may find yourself loving it like I do. You may even find yourself at the Little League World Series on ESPN.
